Our clients in Dorking wanted a very modern quality German kitchen for the new extension space in their home. After several months of having builders in the house and making do with makeshift cooking facilities, the main construction was completed and John and Eva were very keen to see their kitchen installation begin to take place.
Key Elements
The Nobilia in dark concrete was just the right choice for the look they wanted. The cabinets are a mixture of handless drawer and cabinet units and gold door furniture, with a gold back panel on the island unit. LED under-cupboard lighting matches the warmth of the gold touches and softens the dramatic concrete finish and heavy veining of the Quartz worktops and splashback.
AEG Sense oven and combination microwave are housed in tower cabinets as are the fridge freezer and larder cupboards. The kitchen is fitted with a Quooker Flex Pro3 hot water tap and an AEG induction hob – allowing the worktops to remain smooth clean lines without the need for additional equipment.
The kitchen is flooded with natural light and offsets the concrete tones of the cabinetry, affording a balance between strong deep finishes and bright warmth. The additional feature lighting creates beautiful reflections and shadows on all the surfaces.
