The brief was ‘modern classic’ on two kitchens, one for their own home and another for an investment build next door, both light and bright with a darker colour on the island units, similar to one of ours they had seen.
An important requirement for the open plan area was no extraction hood and instead feature lighting above the island so we selected the BORA Basic BIU cooktop with integrated extraction that sits beautifully in the Quartz worktop. A Quooker Flex Pro3 is fitted over the Caple sink and provides instant boiling water so a kettle is not required. As well as convenience, aesthetics and efficiency, a Quooker complements a clutter free workspace.
Small details like handles can transform the overall feel of a kitchen – and we used nickle knobs as well as cup handles to help achieve the classic feel on this modern kitchen.
End wall cupboards that meet a run of countertop units can sometimes present difficult design spaces, here we opted for a dresser style unit that is both practical and attractive.
Pat and Jennie are happy with the two kitchens we designed for them, and have given us a glowing review. We look forward to working with them again on future investment projects.
