Bespoke Design for Hidden Storage
Imogen approached us after an extensive search at several kitchen design studios. Imogen told us she was very clear on what she wanted for her space and what she was not willing to compromise on – and that despite her search, had not found somewhere that offered a truly bespoke design to accommodate her particular kitchen wish list.
Until, following a recommendation from one of her clients for whom we had designed a kitchen, she came to see us.
Key Elements
A beautiful home in Englefield Green, with great open plan living and amazing light, the focus most days is artistic endeavours, not cooking. However, to complement the space and because every home needs a kitchen, Imogen wanted quality cabinetry, extra lighting, additional shelves within cupboards, practical and functional appliances as well as an aesthetic that would match the rest of her home.
The kitchen is not used frequently to prep and cook meals as the homeowners prefer to eat out, nevertheless it is equipped with all the essentials, integrated and completed with Silestone Iconic White countertops, an undermount sink, glass mirror splashbacks and a striking Fjord Blue ultra matt and white gloss German cabinetry combination doors.
A large pull out larder houses the essentials, and the design feature Imogen was adamant was needed and not negotiable, was pull out hidden drawers all along the bottom of the cabinetry, where usually one would find a plinth, covering empty space between the feet of the kitchen units.
That was the deciding factor for Imogen’s kitchen – and we delivered on the design, the rest was almost irrelevant, although in the end, the whole kitchen is exactly what the client wanted, and we were delighted to realise it for her.
