This kitchen included our full project management services with building works and thoughtful design elements to re- imagine the space.
Kirstie had a clear vision for the home she loves. She wanted to create a space she could truly enjoy while being mindful of the investment, ensuring any changes would add value without exceeding what she might recoup in the future.
The existing kitchen, though generous in size, simply didn’t work for her. It was cold and uncomfortable, dominated by a structural pillar that wasn’t feasible to remove. Kirstie was also keen to introduce practical elements that would transform daily life — a discreet utility room, a dedicated larder, and larger doors opening onto the garden to bring in more light.
Equally important was retaining character and warmth. The fireplace, a feature she wanted to keep but hadn’t been able to enjoy was to remain and become a focal point within the new dining space. Alongside this, she wanted us to design a thoughtful layout with an island that could provide relaxed seating.
The completed design is a timeless, painted woodgrain shaker style kitchen in Farrow & Ball’s Cornforth White and Mole’s Breath. Generous deep drawers provide both elegant detailing and highly practical storage. A walk-in pantry and compact utility room have been seamlessly integrated, bringing organisation and efficiency to the home.

At the heart of the space, the large island wraps around the existing structural pillar, incorporating the BORA hob while creating a striking focal point. Finished throughout in 30mm Pearl Grey Quartz, the surfaces reflect light beautifully, enhancing the bright, welcoming feel of the room.
Now, the kitchen is not only a stylish and functional space but also a warm hub of the home — a place for Kirstie to enjoy with relaxed dining and effortless entertaining.
