A Modern Classic Cottage Kitchen
Our client for this project approached us having bought a cottage in Windsor she planned to completely renovate. The selling agent had suggested the existing kitchen was fine and could be refreshed with some paint and perhaps new worktops, but the client wanted to ensure a quality kitchen with up to date appliances.

Unsure of whether she wanted an ultra modern statement kitchen or classic cottage style kitchen, we discussed some ideas for both.
The client finalized her choice with a modern classic, having also looked through our website, she was repeatedly drawn to the style of our Hersham Project.
With storage a priority as well as aesthetics and function, we were able to design extra height wall units as the ceiling was raised during the renovation. We also incorporated a 1000mm drawer base unit and made use of a small gap at the end of the counterspace to introduce a slim larder unit with soft close, glass fronted drawers.
The door furniture is pewter and matches the pendant light suspended from the restored ceiling beam and are a great contrast to the Ashley Ann Porcelain shaker style painted wooden door panels.
The appliances are all AEG, and include an integrated dishwasher, washing machine and dryer and fridge freezer, the oven and induction hob. The extraction is a glass fronted NOVY unit and we fitted a Quooker boiling water tap over the porcelain double sink set over Cosentino Quartz countertops in Calacutta Gold.
Our client is delighted with her new kitchen as we were able to incorporate everything she wanted in what was a very small and dark space to create a cottage kitchen with a very bright, contemporary design without compromising any of the elements she wanted us to include – proof that good design and quality materials can transform any space.
