Crisp Sharp Lines in a Timeless White Kitchen

Laura and Sean’s brief for their new kitchen was a bright space with hints of Skandi, quality appliances, a few extras and a sensible price.

They wanted a sociable kitchen where their two young daughters could sit and be with them when they were cooking.

Key Elements

Their project included rebuilding the side extension and taking walls out to incorporate the old dining room to the existing kitchen space but connecting the extension by removing the old utility and opening up the side to create a large L shaped living, dining and kitchen open plan space.

While we were not directly involved in the building work, our drawings helped them to visualise the projects’ potential at an early stage which also helped them to make other decisions on the build and ensure the finished project encompassed not only a beautiful kitchen space but a family friendly open and spacious layout.

As well as all the modern appliances you’d expect in a kitchen, like a Quooker boiling water tap, a BORA hob with integrated extraction, AEG ovens, a wine cooler and integrated white goods, we incorporated a built in coffee machine including storage under the angled ceiling area as Sean is a keen coffee drinker – the Matte Black AEG coffee machine deserved it’s own spot in the space.

Quartz worktops and upstands with glass splashbacks add a very clean and uncompromising finish to the luxurious feel of this contemporary white kitchen and the undercupboard lighting and pendants over the peninsula perfectly complement the natural light that floods in from the large glass doors.

As part of the building work, Sean and Laura were able to add a generously sized utility room that we fitted with floor to ceiling cabinetry – these help keep the home beautifully organised as well as affording space for an additional combi oven, sink, and the washer dryers.
