A Kitchen With An Italian Flavour
When our clients came to see us, they described the new home they had built and the style of design they like – rich but clean colours with Italian porcelain floors, quality furniture and large chandeliers, and they wanted a kitchen that reflected their taste and complemented the house.
Key Elements
Having visited our showroom, they really liked one of our display kitchens, the Stormer Cara range we have in Cuzco Grafito, which is a dark grey tone, and they selected the same range in Cuzco Oro, which is a warmer, brown-based colour that would work well with the rest of their space and accessories.
The accent colour for this kitchen is copper, very on trend and popular. The clients wanted a 3-in-1 tap, opting for the Abode Pronteau, ensuring boiling water is always readily available at their copper Caple sink.
An important feature for the kitchen was a peninsula. This needed to serve the home not just as a beautiful focal point for sociable, informal cooking and eating, but it also houses additional storage and was designed to full floor length to enhance a robust outlook. The work surfaces are Sensa Glacial Blue granite and overhead we designed a lighting feature that also houses the extraction unit.
As you would expect with a modern quality kitchen, all the appliances are integrated, from the DeDietricht ovens, inset hob, warming drawers and dishwasher, the AEG fridge-freezer and the Caple wine fridge. We added mirror wall panels and LED lighting to emphasise the reflective quality of the kitchen.
Whether we’re designing a bijou cottage kitchen, a contemporary family home kitchen or something that looks stunning in a spacious loft style apartment, we enjoy bringing our clients’ kitchen dreams to reality with affordable, quality, bespoke designs and enjoy the process from start to completion.
