In-Frame Shaker Conservatory Kitchen
Our clients presented us with a vision for transforming their existing kitchen and surrounding spaces into a more functional, social, and visually appealing area. The existing layout posed several challenges that needed to be addressed to achieve their desired outcome.
Key Elements
The clients wanted a kitchen with views of their extensive landscaped gardens, one of their favourite areas of the home. In addition, other spaces leading off the main kitchen needed to be re-configured and upgraded to better serve a large family home – this included a laundry room, utility room and cloakroom as well as a connected dining area and home bar for those special family gatherings – these are detailed in a separate project on our website.
The style is classic shaker in a painted wood in-frame that complements the style of the house and the client’s personal style. The colours are soft and neutral and the island is in an intentionally contrasting colour that makes a statement while still complementing the surroundings.
The worktop is a Radianz – Rio with an Ogee profile, it has a natural vein but unlike the typical grey vein, it has a warm, almost gold appearance that gives a more luxurious aesthetic.
The antiqued bronze mirrored splashback helped to complement the aged brass hardware and Quooker tap as well as serving to reflect light from the expansive windows. A selection of uplighting features, pendants and cabinet lighting ensures this space is dynamic at all times of the day and makes it a wonderful entertaining and social space.
