The Blue Kitchen with a Place for Everything

We enjoyed working with our client Deborah in Cobham on a remodelled and extended kitchen space in her new home. A contemporary take on a classic style with lots of storage to hide everything away and including a large pantry to accommodate equipment for her young son’s cooking and baking passion.

Key Elements

Deborah was adamant she did not want a large central island and opted instead for a peninsula, where a beautiful Lacanche range cooker takes pride of place.

A Caple downdraft extractor is set in the counter top and a Quooker boiling water tap sits over the Franke undermount sink. As well as the range cooker, we installed and AEG Combiquick microwave oven and a twelve place push open warming drawer – that can be programmed to turn on remotely.

The Caledonia in frame cabinetry is painted Farrow and Ball Lulworth Blu with the soft close drawer boxes in solid oak that are dovetailed, brushed cup and knob handles are a classic choice with an inframe style. The Classic Quartz Ogee profiled edge work surfaces also add detail to the expansive kitchen.

Whether the space we are designing for is compact or expansive, we pride ourselves on listening to our clients’ brief and working with them to create a space that incorporates all the elements for a practical and aesthetically pleasing space while accommodating their vision and wishes, and always within budget.

Deborah and her family are happy with their new kitchen space and we are currently working on a boot room design and look forward to sharing images when that project is also completed.
